Littleput Books

I found this Etsy site, Littleput Books, through Portland Picks and I am in love with it! She is in the Portland area and I like supporting local artists, and she makes the cutest necklaces out of old Scrabble tiles and they are so affordable! Check them out!!

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about the adorable little tins they come in. Remember those old lip gloss tins where you slide the top? Well she covers those in the same kinds of paper and they are so cute, it's like getting a sweet little surprise because you're just expecting the necklace and then it comes in a great container as well, and everyone knows it's all about the packaging!

I said "shoulder length"...

I found a new place to get my hair cut, and that is a scary thing if you have curly hair! It's a cute place in Portland called Dirty Little Secret Salon and she only charges me $30 which is a steal for a good women's haircut these days! My hair was getting way too long and it was time for a few inches to be cut off, but she went a little shorter than I expected. I'm still getting used to it and I think it needs some shorter layers thrown in so I might go back. Karl definitely likes it longer so I've been disowned until it grows out :o)

(Please forgive the no makeup paleness, I can't wait for summer!)

Flat Melisa

My friend Marisa is a 2nd grade teacher and apparently there is a children's book called Flat Stanley where a little boy gets flattened and his parents send him around the world in an envelope. So she has the kids in her class make flat versions of themselves and send them to someone they know out of state. Well one of her girls didn't know anyone so she sent it to me. I got to take Flat Melisa around Portland and show her the sites and write in her travel journal. It was fun! Here is Flat Melisa at Cannon Beach:
