I'm sorry, I can't believe I'm neglecting our blog already!! Not much is new with us except that I'm getting older :o) I turned 28 on the 21st. We would have gone out to dinner to celebrate but Karl decided to share his cough with me so I got sick over the weekend while I was up in Washington, and Monday was the worst of it. We're both feeling better although this cough is trying it's hardest to hang on.
We did go up to Portland this weekend for dinner and a movie and some birthday shopping but I didn't find anything which was very sad because we were at Ann Taylor Loft which is my favorite! I was looking forward to some new work clothes but there wasn't anything that I just loved. Don't you hate that? When you go shopping for something specific and can't find anything at all!!
Our apartment is pretty much set in stone so I should have a new address to give out within the next couple of weeks. The new place allows pets so we are thinking about getting a dog. Karl's preference is an Australian Shepherd but they need way too much activity to be an apartment dog, so I think we're looking at Boxers. They are on the Top 25 list of apartment dogs and they're big enough that I would feel safer if Karl were ever gone. They are also good with kids so we are keeping that in mind for the future :o) I know quite a few people (online) who have them and they all rave about them. Once we are in a house we will probably look at getting an Australian Shepherd too. If I can remember how to do it, I'll post some pics so you know what kind of dogs we're talking about.
My ten year reunion is coming up in two weeks!! I can't believe it's been that long already! I still keep in touch with my close friends but it will be fun to see what everyone else has been up to. There were only about 75 in my graduating class so it's small enough that you pretty much knew everybody which was nice. I'm a little nervous about going (what will I wear?!?!) but I'm sure I'll be glad I did when it's over.
Karl and I are considering hiking at Mt. St. Helens this coming weekend. He says it's 14 miles and I told him to have fun without me :o) Of course I would go with him, but even when he's out of shape, he's still more in shape than I am. He's going to have to drag me up the mountain! We've actually been trying to go hiking all Summer and it just hasn't worked out. If we don't do that we may head to the Coast, we haven't been there since last year. Or maybe we'll do both!
We hope all is well with you, our family and friends, and we'd love to hear how you all are doing!

I had the lovely job of apartment hunting this last weekend. It actually wasn't too bad since there were only three on my list because we would rather not pay more than we are now. The first one was too small, the second one didn't have anything opening up when we needed it, and the third one was juuuuust right (hmmm, is anyone else getting a craving for porridge?). There will be a little bit of overlap which is nice so we won't feel rushed to get out of our place and into the new one all in the same day. I will send out our new address as soon as everything is finalized. Other than that, it's just life as usual. Karl is still enjoying the job but not the commute, and I am doing a little bit of job hunting online. We are toying with the idea of me moving forward on plans for an online baby boutique that I have been dreaming of, but it would be in addition to any other job I do get. That way when we do decide to start our family, I won't be entirely out of work and by then it should be up and running smoothly. So we'll see, I am mostly just collecting information right now, but if anyone has an idea for a store name, let me hear it. Karl keeps vetoing most of my ideas, but he's a guy, what does he know :o) Well, he actually knows a lot, so I guess I'd be wise to listen to him!!
